What to Expect

You have been asked to complete a Polyguard Trust Check as part of a job application. The Trust Check confirms that a real person is applying. It does not verify your identity: you will not be asked for a government ID, and your name is not checked against any records. It takes about a minute and happens entirely on your phone.

How to Complete Your Trust Check

  1. Open the link. When you apply, you'll be prompted to complete a Trust Check, or you'll receive an email with a link. Open it on your phone.
  2. Start the check. On an iPhone, no download is required: your phone automatically shows the Polyguard App Clip when you open the link. On Android, the link guides you to install Polyguard Mobile, which is free for candidates.
  3. Complete the check. Follow the prompts to complete real-time facial recognition. This confirms you are a real, present person. It does not identify who you are.
  4. You're done. Your application is sent to the employer automatically, marked as having passed the Trust Check.

Why am I being asked to do this?

Employers use Polyguard to make sure every applicant is a real person. Completing the Trust Check helps your application stand out from fraudulent and automated ones.

What Is Shared

The employer you applied to receives the result of the Trust Check: that a real, present person completed it. They use this to confirm your application is authentic.

Common Questions

  • Do I need to show an ID? No. The Trust Check does not verify your identity and does not ask for identity documents.
