Camera Stays Black

When you join a secured meeting, Polyguard will ask you to scan a QR code with your phone. If your camera only shows a black screen, it usually means the app can’t access the camera properly. In most cases, this is a bug, and our team is already working to fix it.

Here are a few quick things you can try first:

  • Make sure you have given the Polyguard app permission to use your camera.
  • Close other apps that might be using the camera in the background.
  • Restart the app and try again.
  • Update your phone to the latest version of iOS or Android.

If none of these steps help, please report the issue so we can investigate and help you directly.

How to report it:

  1. Open the app and tap the question mark (?) in the top right corner.
  2. A chat window will open where you can message our customer service team directly.
  3. Tell us that your camera stays black on the QR screen, and we’ll handle it from there.
